OUGD504: Design for print and web/ Studio brief 3 - Final mock ups of apps/web.

WEB:

Overall I feel as the web fits its purpose, It demonstrates a professional attitude aiming mostly at other professionals, yet stays true to the brand. This is done through a mixture of visual and emotional elements. I found it was important to use photos for the web designs to allow others who were going to put money and time into the business, a real vision, a live vision of the canteen, rather than a vision that the canteen wanted to make for you, which could have been done through illustration. The website ties in with the rest of the brand using the same colours, typefaces, patterns and other visual elements. The text used is in both a professional and playful attitude as a reminder that Full stop is not a place that is singularly formal, its purpose is to offer a place where people can relax and enjoying dining in a casual environment.

APP:
The App had a completely different audience and was targeted at the customers of Full stop, hence the complete difference in navigation locations. When designing the app I tried to think of aspects/uses that would be useful to the customer. These outcomes were: Viewing branches, writing a review/reading reviews about the experience/food, ordering food to eat at full stop or take onboard aircraft, viewing shopping basket/bag and voting for your favourite food. Not only did I want the app to be useful to customers I also wanted it to be useful for full stop themselves. Through tracking the app they are able to see the popularity of ordering food increase or decrease, keep an eye on reviews and change the menu to adhere to customer wants. For the customer the app increases airport efficiency (ability to stop by for 5-10 mins and pick up food), allows them to voice their opinion and change the availibilty of foods at Full stop. To further the app, something I didn't think of could be to have a section following on from voting for their favourite dish, where customers could suggest dishes, and then vote for which of the suggested ones should be implemented.
